Be Good Supply was born from frustration. Frustration that the recycling system is confusing from region to region, and efforts to try reduce waste is fraught with greenwashed products and packaging. 

In 2019, Priscilla started researching the waste systems for different councils around New Zealand and discovered how varied they were between them. Some collected plastics 1-5, some only collected plastic 1-2, others took glass jars with lids, and others required that lids be removed. Looking at product packaging recommendations for disposal was not enough to be a responsible consumer.  

This was where Priscilla had the idea to start a store that recommended products to consumers based on the recycling systems of their region - so you can trust that the product you purchase will be feasibly managed after you dispose of it. 

To start - Be Good Supply is focusing on the Wellington region covered by the Wellington City Council. The long term goal is to support a circular economy for your household supplies.
